As Managing Director of FourPoints Wealth Partners, Joe provides strategic leadership for both the firm's wealth management and insurance operations while maintaining close relationships with clients and professional partners. His career has been dedicated to helping individuals, families, and business owners navigate complex financial decisions through integrated wealth management, retirement, and insurance planning.
After earning a degree in finance, Joe began his career as a financial representative with Northwestern Mutual before launching his own life insurance brokerage. In 2005, he joined his brother and fellow partners in acquiring Dupre Carrier Godchaux Insurance Agency, helping position the organization for long-term growth. Recognizing the increasing demand for comprehensive financial guidance, he led the development and expansion of the firm's investment business, which ultimately evolved into FourPoints Wealth Partners.
Today, Joe oversees the strategic direction of the organization, collaborates with key strategic partners, and serves as a resource for clients facing complex financial, retirement, insurance, and wealth-planning decisions. Whether advising multigenerational families, business owners, or individuals preparing for retirement, he believes successful advising begins with understanding the person behind the financial plan.
Known for his personal approach and responsiveness, Joe has built lasting relationships by focusing on what matters most to his clients and helping them pursue their goals with confidence. This relationship-driven philosophy continues to guide both his work and the culture of the firm.
Originally from Port Barre, Louisiana, Joe now resides in Lafayette with his wife, Catrice. They have been married for more than 30 years and are the proud parents of Laura, Frederick, Bella, and Ashton, and grandparents to Finley. Active in both professional and civic leadership, Joe serves on the Board of Trustees for the Academy of the Sacred Heart in Grand Coteau and as Treasurer for Vision St. Landry through St. Landry Economic Development. When away from the office, he enjoys spending time with family, traveling, especially internationally, and discovering new places and experiences.
